The LyricFind app launched in April 2009, and reached #1 Music App in Canada and #4 in the US within the first month. The free version has received over 1 million downloads.

The LyricFind and LyricFind Lite iPhone applications give the user access to 1.1 million licensed lyrics, from over 40,000 artists and 200,000 albums.

Presenting such large amounts of information to the user can be challenging, especially on the small screen of a mobile device, but we feel that the clean and simple user interface works extremely well. The user has several search options and can browse using scrollable lists, and the content is interlinked, allowing for easy navigation.

In addition to the users' needs, it is essential to address the concerns of all stakeholders, such as rights owners. Lyrics are only displayed in the territories where they are available, and copy & paste is disabled for copyrighted lyrics content.

Several monetization options are included in the free version, such as ad banner on rotation from the major iPhone ad networks, house ads that can be controlled by the client, a full-screen splash page on app startup, and iTunes affiliate links. The paid version of the app removes all advertising.

Development continued after the very successful launch, adding features such as saving lyrics for offline viewing, top 25 charts, and automatically showing the lyrics for songs playing on the device. In addition, in 2010 we released an Android version, an iPad version, and several lyrics applications for individual artists.
